What is Reynolds Performance and what makes it different than the hundreds of other Sacramento personal training services out there?
Reynolds Performance is a Sacramento personal training service that adheres to the highest standards of practice. Our unique Primal Fitness System was developed to help clients to get more out of a fitness program. It is much more than your average personal training experience. After years of analyzing the results of hundreds of clients, we developed a personal training system that not only addresses your exercise and nutrition needs, but also your mindset. This includes the psychological, emotional and social factors that will most affect your rate of success.
Most trainers will take care of the exercise component, some offer nutritional advice but what about the rest? Most people will fail to reach their goals unless all 3 factors are assessed and addressed, and this is exactly what we try to accomplish. Simply put, we are going to help you “get the body you want, the mindset you need, and the life you deserve.”
Our Philosophy
We understand that most people have busy lives and wish to exercise as efficiently as possible. Our clients achieve their fitness goals in only 1-3 brief sessions per week. We don’t offer cookie-cutter workouts or subscribe to exercises that will place you in an unstable or unsafe position. Your program constantly evolves with you and not the other way around.
In addition we know that what you really need are simple action strategies with practical applications. You don’t have time to fuss over details, nor do you care to. We don’t waste time explaining every little detail of WHY something works but rather teach you HOW to make it work for you. We’ll teach you the action steps to become fit for life!

Reynolds was founded in 2008 by John David Reynolds III. John has been getting people of all ages and abilities in shape for over 6 years. His experience expands through a wide range of clientele, from the advanced athlete to seniors and regular people who are completely new to exercise. His compassionate and professional approach compliment his expertise, making him one of the most sought after personal trainers in Sacramento.
John has always maintained that great leaders lead from the front – not the back, and as such is a living example of his own philosophy. In addition to his personal training services, John uses his blog to keep his clients informed on current health and fitness trends and strategies for getting in shape.
